Erica Cappellini, MS CCC-SLP, earned her Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University and her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from East Stroudsburg University. Erica brings to Communiverse years of experience in the speech field working with a wide population range (birth to three, preschool early intervention, school-aged, young adult, adult, elderly, and end of life) as well as treating diverse communication needs (e.g., articulation/phonological disorders, language disorders, social/pragmatic, fluency, cognitive/memory disorders, Autism, apraxia, etc.) as well as dysphagia, Parkinson’s Disease, and intelligibility and voice concerns. Erica is currently licensed in Pennsylvania and Maryland and registered to provide services in Florida as well. She specializes in providing quality speech therapy via telehealth but is also open to in-person opportunities. Erica previously worked at Centennial School of Lehigh University, an approved private school for students with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities, where she collaborated daily with school staff and successfully integrated speech therapy across all environments. Erica values all members of a client’s team. She created the easy-to-use Speech Intelligibility and Comprehensibility Communication Skills Assessment (SICCSA) for assessing communication and has presented on a variety of topics at local, state, national, and global conferences. She has a passion for helping others find their voices. With an emphasis on enhancing real-world communication skills, Erica believes speech therapy should be functional and fun!
